Rules1)
All trails will be open during the race. It is up to you to yield to all foot/equestrian traffic at all times. Race hard, but please respect our other trail users. We are sending out a reminder to all open space users reminding them about the fundraiser and encouraging them to come cheer the racers on.
2) Each team member must sign a waiver at race check-in.
3) Only one pop up tent allowed per team. There will be no power or water at Whale Rock Trailhead. You need to be prepared for anything you may need: water, food, beverages, bikes, music, ...
4) If you choose, a racer can do back to back laps. Same as last year, we will start/finish at the kiosk just above the roundabout (no longer in the circle). The tracking board with all the teams listed will still be at the round-about. It will be your riders responsibility to put a check mark each time a lap is completed.
5) Hours of Power are 10 am - 11 am and 1 pm - 2 pm. You can have two racers on the course at a time. Great way to double your loop count.
6) Race ends at 4 pm. Any laps finished after 4 pm will not count.
ParkingDo not park at Whale Rock Trailhead. Drop-off and pick-up at Whale Rock Trailhead is okay. If you need to bring a vehicle, parking is available at the Red Rocks Country Club gravel parking lot.
Food and Beverages- Beer: Kegs typically show up around 3 pm and are provided by
The Red Rocks TeamBathroomA porta potty will be onsite near Whale Rock Trailhead.
The painting by Willow Springs artist Glenn Smith will be auctioned at the Cave Party on Sept 26th. Bids start at $100.
We will keep Quarter Pipe as part of the race course this year. The run and kids races will be unchanged.
